The Briarcliffe, built in 1922, is an architecturally stunning 13-story structure, converted in 1999 to a full-service, white glove condominium. Brown brick with a two-story limestone base and limestone quoins, this pre-war building with its canopied entrance features 33 residences with generous layouts and beautifully proportioned living spaces. It’s crowned by one of the most famous penthouses in the city, with an enormous ballroom and vast terraces where the publisher of The Celebrity Register hosted lavish parties.
You don’t need practice to get to Carnegie Hall from The Briarcliffe
That’s because The Briarcliffe is located in the heart of “Billionaires’ Row,” directly across the street from the famed Carnegie Hall, affording residents incomparable views of this international standard setting concert venue from their gracious, high-ceilinged rooms.
Most of The Briarcliffe’s expansive apartments (only three per floor, providing you with unusual privacy amidst the energetic hustle of lively Midtown North) include an oversized entry foyer with either a private or semi-private elevator landing, spacious windowed kitchens, spa-like luxury master bathrooms, plentiful custom closet spaces, and, of course, that up-close perspective on Carnegie Hall.
In addition to proximity to Carnegie and the celebrated cultural hub of Lincoln Center, you’ll enjoy an array of fine dining establishments and superior shopping at your doorstep, including the Time Warner Center. Central Park and its plethora of outdoor delights are two blocks to the north. You’re right off the N, Q, R, and W lines, and just a few minutes walk from Columbus Circle’s numerous public transportation options, including the A, C, B, D, and 1 trains, as well as many buses.
U.S. Secretary of Commerce, Wilbur Ross called The Briarcliffe home. Will you?
